Guests can also choose one of our remote outpost camps for a real Canadian wilderness big game hunt.

Mark & Andrea WernerMark & Andrea Werner

Mark and Andrea are parents to 4 boys! Not only are they raising a tribe, they operate BC Guide Outfitters and affiliated companies.  They have a passion for the outdoors, and are involved in trapping, guided fishing, and are active members of the Guide Outfitters Association.  Mark has 15 years of experience as a guide outfitter.

Troy LarsonTroy Larson

Cowboy "T" Roy. Troy has always been a favorite to many clients, he has a laid back sense of humor and has won the "largest game" buckles year after year!

Troy is the winner of the Moose buckle for Backcountry for 2007 and has tied with Graham Markland for the "biggest Black Bear" buckle.

Lisa LarsonLisa Larson

Lisa enjoys the outdoor industry, selling hunting and fishing equipment at wholesale sports, and her role as administrator for Backcountry Guide Outfitters. 

Lisa also enjoys spending as much time as possible at the guide area in the summer with their 3 kids.

Michael SchneiderMichael Schneider

Long term outfitter in BC for over 21 years.  He brings a level of experience to our camp that is unmatched. In the European hunting world Michael is considered to be one of the top hunting and fishing guides in the business.

Michael and Mark enjoy running their fishing business together.

Graham MarklandGraham Markland

Graham or "Captain Leaf Licker" brings humor, fun and energy to the camp. He has over 30 years experience hunting and trapping. 

Graham is a favorite amongst clients.  Graham is tied with Troy in a bitter battle for the "biggest Black Bear" buckle.

Leona LeskiLeona Leski

Leona is one of the greatest camp cooks and we are pleased to have her as part of our pro staff. 

Come prepared to add a couple extra notches on your belt! You'll be having second helpings and dessert every night! 

Joanne KirklandJoanne Kirkland

No doubt one of the hardest working, capable guides in the business. 

Not only is she an experienced guide/outfitter, she's also a trapper, horse trainer, farmer, mechanic, cook, oh ya she's a retired school teacher. 

Andy HagbergAndy Hagberg

A living legend.  He's outfitted for more than 40 years. Also one of the top trappers,  Andy is a river man, log cabin builder, and hounds man. 

Andy to this day is a very active part of Herrick Creek Outfitters, guiding, cutting trail, packing and teaching the young guys the traditional way of outfitting.

Bernie MckayBernie McKay

Bernie is an author, trapper, outfitter, river man, cabin builder, and wilderness explorer.  Bernie is a favorite amongst clients.  He has a great sense of humor and a passion for the outdoors.

Anyone lucky enough to be guided by Bernie will experience the outdoors through his passion.
